Visa eligibility checker
Most Indian travellers need no visa for Thailand at all — but the exceptions catch people out at the airport. Answer these and see exactly which route applies to your trip.
Your result
Visa exemption, up to 60 days
You can travel visa-free
Indian ordinary passport holders arriving for tourism get up to 60 days without a visa, extendable once by 30 days at a Thai immigration office for 1,900 baht. Nothing to pay or apply for before you fly, other than the arrival card.
What to do next
- Complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 72 hours of departure — it is mandatory and free.
- Carry a printed or offline copy of your return ticket and hotel booking for the immigration counter.
- Keep 10,000 baht per person (20,000 per family) available in cash or on a card — spot checks do happen.
- Note your exact permitted-to date from the entry stamp; overstaying is fined at 500 baht a day.
Guidance only, not immigration advice. Thai entry rules change frequently — confirm anything decisive with the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi or the official Thai e-visa portal before you book.
