Nok Air resumes direct Hyderabad-Bangkok flights, enhancing regional travel options for winter

Nok Air is set to restart non-stop flights between Hyderabad and Bangkok from October 15, offering travellers a convenient gateway to Thailand as the winter holiday season approaches, marking a significant return to international flights for the airline.

Nok Air is set to resume direct flights between Hyderabad and Bangkok from October 15, giving travellers in southern India a fresh non-stop option to Thailand as the winter holiday season approaches. Bookings are already open, and the route will link Rajiv Gandhi International Airport with Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport, a hub that offers onward access to other Thai destinations.

According to the airline’s schedule, the service will operate four times a week in each direction. The outbound flight from Hyderabad will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing just after midnight and landing in Bangkok early in the morning. The return leg from Don Mueang will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, allowing for easy short breaks as well as longer itineraries.

This will be Nok Air’s return to Hyderabad after more than a year away. Aviation sources noted that the carrier last flew from the city in May 2025, and they also said the route will be flown with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Nok Air had been absent from international flying for a period after regulatory restrictions in Thailand, making the Hyderabad service a notable step back into overseas operations.

For travellers, the main appeal is convenience. Don Mueang is well placed for domestic connections within Thailand, which means passengers from Hyderabad could pair Bangkok with beach holidays, northern city visits or island trips without needing a separate international booking. The airline has also indicated that Hyderabad is being treated as an important gateway market in India, with support from local sales partners as it works to build demand among leisure travellers, business passengers and those visiting friends and relatives.
